Founded in Rochester, New York in 1937, Ray-Ban was created by American company Bausch & Lomb, which were the first company to in the US to produce optical glass. The company first started to provide U.S Army Air Corps pilots with glare prevention glasses but as the brand gained popularity, they quickly diversified with new models such as the Wayfarer to expand to everyone interested in their eyewear.
