Eli Russel Linnetz is simply an Artist. He directed Kanye West’s “Famous” + “Fade” music videos designed the set for Lady Gaga’s Enigma tour, shot all of the Kardashian-West family polaroids, collaborated with Jordon Wolfson, worked for David Mamet & Woody Allen, produced music for Teyana Taylor, Kid Cudi, and Kanye West, did graphic design for Comme des Garçons and collaborated with Nike. With the creation of ERL, Linnetz, who grew up on Venice Beach, envisioned a unisex label that reflected the heart and soul of L.A.’s youth. Like his photography, ERL exudes an air of nostalgia, with inspiration stemming from 90’s Pixar films, Venice Beach skaters, and the Santa Monica swim team. The menswear collection features t-shirts, hoodies, button-ups, shorts, and accessories in an array of vibrant colors and interesting textiles. Artfully emblazoned with logos and Wolfson’s graphics, each piece is defined by its straightforward and laid-back approach to design. Pulsating with sentimental energy, ERL promises a return to more innocent and simpler times.
