The Comme des Garçons PLAY line was launched in 2002. PLAY aims to create beautiful wardrobe basics through the use of patterns as well as minimalistic designs and fabrication. The highly recognizable hearth-shaped logo can be found throughout this line on pieces such as their t-shirts, knits, and even their collaborative footwear collection with Converse. The deceivingly simple yet memorable logo was originally designed by New York artist Filip Pagowski. According to Filip, the idea of a red heart with a set of eyes popped into his head with no connection or affiliation to anything and his first draft became what we all know as PLAY's logo.
