The New Balance 1954R is set to release across the globe on July 17th, yet SOMEWHERE® has got the exclusive early release on the three-color collection. Inspired by D.C.’s decades long obsession with grey New Balance’s, SOMEWHERE® tapped D.C.’s own Nino Paid to intro this new style to the world.
New Balance’s newest silhouette, the 1954R, mashes together the upper designs of two of the 2002 and 1906 heritage models. The origin of the model number, 1954 = (2002 + 1906) / 2, makes the story easy to understand. The sole is derived from the original soles of both the 2002 and 1906, creating a perfect marriage.
The collection comes in three colorways: Black/Black, Slate Grey/Castlerock and Sea Salt/Linen. Each pair comes complete with premium pig suedes and synthetic overlays, as well as breathable, comfortable mesh components. The segmented ABZORB cushioning system rounds out the special trio providing all day comfort and shock absorption.
The New Balance 1954R is set to release first come first served on July 11th in-store and on July 12th online, both ahead of New Balance’s global July 17th launch.
