CONVERSE X DENIM TEARS CHUCK 70 HI
CONVERSE DENIM TEARS CHUCK TAYLOR 1970 HI
Denim Tears founder Tremaine Emory believes in the power of people. He delayed his collaboration with Converse in the wake of the American anti-racist movements in the summer of 2020, rearranging the shoes release date to coincide with the year’s Presidential election in a last-ditch push to encourage voter turnout.
The red, black and green match the Marcus Garvey’s Pan-African Flag and symbolize the bloodshed of justice seekers, the Black race and African vegetation.
The high top CHUCK TAYLOR has a green tongue with black stars has been emblazoned with black and red stripes atop the canvas uppers. Classic white rubber midsole and black foxing complement the black laces (additional laces match the flag’s colors), a custom Denim Tears logo on the heel and co-branded sockliner.
